Easter Monday on Philippine Stock Market

There are many foreign buyers today and it seems one of their target stock right now is Filinvest Land (FLI), which based from my computation, it is still undervalued from its book value of 1.58 (Q3 of 2010). 41.87 million pesos worth of stocks were bought by foreigners, (I don't know exactly who they are but I have a clue.)  There's no significant news that affects our market today aside from previous week's good performance of major world stock markets including Asia, Europe and US markets. Today is a Lopez day.  Almost 100 million pesos worth of Lopez stocks were sold by the foreigners.

Undervalued stocks

In the previous months and up to now, I am slowly accumulating stocks that is undervalued based on its book value and my forecast that they will earn in the next few years (just like what Kuya Kim do when a typhoon is coming in our country). But of course, I am not expecting that its price will rise going northeast (hehehe... you need a compass here and a google map, just kidding!) Anyway, here is the list of stocks under my crystal ball, I'm mean my watch list. :D I am hoping and praying that these stocks will most likely to move up in the new few days and months due to their dividends and exciting projects, services, and products that they will introduce and they will be into.

Stocks Selection

One of my basis on buying a stock and holding it, if it is selected by major mutual funds. Of course, aside from analyzing its fundamentals, financial report, P/E ratio, chart analysis, etc. we also need to consider if it is selected by fund managers who managed mutual funds because they will be one of the factors that would help and drive to push the stock price up or down depending several factors.

To give you an idea which stocks that you need to consider to buy are the following.

PHILEQUITY PSE INDEX FUND INC. as of September 30, 2009

BPI PHILIPPINE STOCK INDEX FUND as of November 30, 2009

BPI Balanced Fund as of November 30, 2009

Please note that this is one of the criteria on selecting and deciding to buy a stock. You still need to consider other factors aside from this before buying or selling a stock.

FPH (First Philippine Holdings Corporation)

FPH is one of my favorite stocks right now. MACD is showing an uptrend, RSI is at 32, estimate 2009 P/E ratio might be 10 based from its current price and my TP is 65. Along with other analyst, such as COL's TP is 75, Deutsche's TP is 60 and UBS selected FPH as one of their pick stock for 2010.

Recommendation: Buy this stock.
